Food was lovely atmosphere was great rugby was on really busy. But that was a good thing . Sorry no photos left my phone in the car!!! I had curry really tasty , my dad had burger again good . My partner had sandwich which came with bowl of soup which was a really good combo. All together really good and even though it was heaving service was good too.

We came for food and were very impressed. Best chips we’ve had this year - crispy on the outside but soft on the inside. Amazing batter on the fish and chips, and onion rings. Huge portion sizes - great value for money. Friendly staff who did wonderfully. Photo of wagyu burger.

We spent a lot of time here during our holiday in June. So much time we were labelled as regulars and drank their supply of Pimm’s. The pub is beautiful and every member of staff including the manager was fantastic and made us feel welcome, my other half in particular had a lot of good banter with the staff. The food was excellent and well priced considering the quality. If you happen to read this, I hope you got rid of the vengeful pigeons! We will be back soon!

Went today for a lovely lunch & being that person who checked the menu ahead, I had my heart set on mussels. However when we got there, I couldn’t find it on the menu! Spoke to the lovely manager who said it had been removed but he would talk to the chef. And ta da. I had some super tasty mussels delivered to my table shortly after. And my toddler who tends to be mega fussy, ate the vast majority of his lunch too. Big big thanks. What a lovely bunch of staff. Thank you ALL.

Booked a last minute stay at The Old Ship Hotel on our way to a long weekend at Lizard. We arrived late but staff were still there and more than happy to help and check us in with as much care as I'm sure they would have with other guests. The room was fine, had everything we could have needed and the breakfast the next morning was great also. A special shout out (and the main reason for my 5*) to Gus who couldn't have done enough for us. I had a pretty important work meeting the morning of our check out and he arranged a small quiet spot for me to sit and take it, as it would have run over check-out time for me to stay in the room. Gus worked the late shift and was back first thing the next morning, hard working and caring guy. Thank you for making our stay an ease.
